Yes, that Carnegie Hall

The JG's Brandon Morley has the story of a Fort Wayne teen who'll be playing at New York's Carnegie Hall this weekend. His name is John Leszczynski, and he's a junior at Bishop Dwenger High School.
“[John] has an incredible, God-given talent,” said Christine Russell, director of Bishop Dwenger’s band program. “He is a superb student who really understands academically what music is about. That’s what helps him be a brilliant student, and he spends a lot of time practicing. That’s what helps him perfect his craft.”
Kudos to the Journal for publicizing John's achievement, and congratulations to him.

We encourage all the local media outlets to keep an eye out for kids like this. There are a few of them in Fort Wayne, and they make for great stories. (A monthly or quarterly PrepSports-like pullout, perhaps? PrepArts? Yeah, that's a good idea. We grant permission for you to steal it from us.)
