It's True: All Actors are Insecure

From today's N-S Letters to the Editor:
Mary Anne Gates wrote an article in “Ticket” May 5 about the production at the Civic Theatre, “A Tribute to Rodgers & Hammerstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber.” It’s always nice when the Fort Wayne newspapers highlight one of Fort Wayne’s community theaters and give them the recognition they deserve. The problem I had with this article was that she interviewed several people and chose to not use most of what was presented to her. The other concern was that she, or her editor, named only list five of the eight performers in the article. She described only four of the eight as “the featured performers.” I’m sorry, but this is an ensemble production, and there are no featured performers. We are all featured and highlighted throughout the entire production and to leave out three names was in poor taste.

Beverly Geist
offended performer
We're not sure if Beverly called herself an offended performer or if some N-S staffer appended it after the fact, but we hope it's the latter...
