There's another list out, and Fort Wayne isn't near the top - again. This one is Intel's Most Unwired -- as in wireless internet -- Cities. We're 93rd. The JG's Jenni Glenn has a nice article about where in town WiFi is available, and where it may be coming next.
Local Internet providers and city officials say the survey does not accurately portray the availability of WiFi. The survey underestimated the number of local WiFi access points, called hotspots, said Stan Adams, owner and founder of the Indiana Data Center. The Fort Wayne-based company has installed about 45 hotspots in Allen County, including sites at the Allen County Public Library’s main branch and Fort Wayne International Airport.
