Hungry? Try a Podcast

My thanks to Leo Morris for talking to me for the first episode of the Fort Wayne Media Notes Podcast, which went live last Friday. If you haven't already, download the MP3 file (either on the iTunes Music Store or from the link below) and listen to what Leo had to say about blogging, who he'd like to see start up their own blog, and what he thinks of my favorite guest columnists like Betty Stein, among other things.

I've had a few readers download the podcast, burn it onto a CD, and listen to it on their car stereo -- they seem to recommend it. Or you can listen to it on your iPod or your computer. Regardless of how you do it, give it a try. You don't need any special software to access it. Just click the link below.

More info on podcasting

NOTE: I sent out a press release heralding the FWMN Podcast as the first podcast in Fort Wayne. The News-Sentinel, however, does already have a podcast -- technically.
Every weekday, The News-Sentinel prepares newscasts for WBTU and WBOI. You can hear these newscasts between 6:25 and 8:25 a.m. on 93.3-FM and at 12:04 p.m. on 89.1-FM.
That newscast is also available on the News-Sentinel website as an MP3 file for download, and it's billed as a podcast, but it's not original content produced as a podcast, and it's not available from the iTunes Music Store or through any other podcast-downloading program. In my mind, that doesn't really count as a podcast.

UPDATE: Just to clarify, the Fort Wayne Media Notes Podcast is the first local podcast with all original content produced exclusively for the web. That's why I called it "Fort Wayne's First Podcast."
