In Case You Missed It

Some radio news, from last week's Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly:
No presidential election to interest listeners and a general “fatigue” for news talk radio likely knocked WOWO, News Talk 1190 AM, out of the No. 1 spot in the Fort Wayne radio market.

WLDE, 101.7 FM and its ’60s and ’70s music format took over the top spot with a 10.0 overall share, according to the latest Arbitron ratings book released earlier this month.

The station jumped nearly 30 percent from its fall 2004 share of 7.7. Country music station WQHK, K105 FM, went from a 7.8 share last fall to a 9.7 share to remain in second place.
