As I noted on Friday, a local blogger has been writing about his wife Katrina's efforts to find her mother (who lived in Angie, Lousiana) in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Unlike so many stories coming out of the Gulf Coast region, this one has a happy ending: Katrina found her mother, and they have both arrived -- safe and sound -- in Columbia City.

Thanks to Ric for giving us another example of an instance where blogging is the most effective means of communication, and for sharing such a personal story.
